SBC worst service i have ever had!
I recieved a bill yesterday for a disconnect. I read the date on the notice and it was for the eighth. However the envelope is postmarked for the eigth and the actual letter has Jan.30 as the bill date. Nonetheless they disconnected my service so i called cust service and her answer was she has no control over the mail and would i like to pay my bil plus a 27.00 reconnect fee. I was mad but i want my service so we started to proceed. She then said that i cant pay my bill until i also pay a deposit that they are requesting at this time and that will be another 75.00. I said i have had service and paid a deposit from my first initial connect in another state i stayed with sbc just changed service area and phone number. She was rude and said do you wand to pay the deposit or call back another time. I did not pay and i desperately need to know if this is even legal. I have had service since August and i cant see how just because they decided to add it this billing cycle they can prevent me from paying and reconnecting my service. I have 4 children and its hard to pay the bills as it is . i just cant believe they wouldnt take my full payment AND the reconnect fee without a new 75.00 deposit they stirred up. HELP!! :confused:
