Unfair Negotiating

We went into Valencia Power Honda to check out new 2005 models. We knew we were upside down on our current 2002 Odyssey lease, with 2 years to go and did not intend to purchase. The sales manager gave us an offer (in writing) that said, "Trade in - 21048, let's do a deal." At the end of the day, we realized that they only paid off 16000 of the lease and rolled the other 5000 into our current lease. They never explained this. Then they sent us a "thank you" survey that boasted if you got a lower quote, they would give you $2000 cash back. We got 2 quotes in writing but they told us that deal was only good at the time of purchase. (They sent us the deal in the mail AFTER our purchase!) STAY AWAY FROM VALENCIA POWER

In trying to purchase a Honda CRV in 2002, Barry's Honda in Dartmouth, MA, did nothing but "play games." I decided I wanted to purchase a CRV but wanted silver with grey interior. They did not have one so had to search. Well after two weeks of "one is on the truck but we're not sure when it will arrive" from Barry's, I located the CRV just 50 minutes away at another dealer, Weymouth Honda. I called Barry's, asked for a refund of my deposit. They wanted to know where I had found one. I told them that if they could do their job, I wouldn't have to tell them. Within days, I had my new car. I did still have difficulty with Weymouth in the end, but I guess car dealers are nothing but money hungry. They want you in and out with no hassles.

I have had three Honda's over the past ten years. I have had limited contact with Honda Finance until recently. They have been very unhelpful and disrespectful to me as a long term customer and owner of their cars. When my lease ends, I will be searching for new alternatives, and they are out there now, because of my experiences with Honda.

Too bad.... I really have enjoyed my Hondas. Look out Honda, here comes Nissan or Toyota!

as a new Honda owner (i love the 2006 oddysey but there are a few quirks) i would never buy again due to the poor service at Honda City in Liverpool, NY. Firstly I wouldn't purchase my vehicle from there as there sales people are rude and arragant. When I took it there for service (3 months after \owning vehicle the drivers side rear sliding door won't open) they won't touch it as I have a remote starter in it that they didn't put in. What a joke these people are. Tooshay on them. I should have bought the Toyota mini van and most sertainly will the next time around.
