![]() I need help! Up until today, I have been using the old version of Yahoo messenger without any problems. Today, I tried to upgrade to the new version, but am now unable to log on at all. I cannot find the old version on my hard drive. Can any one help? This is my computer at work, cable modem, Internet Explorer, not sure what version. I'm probably behind all kinds of firewalls, but I have no idea. Please help!

![]() Sounds like you may have to edit your connection settings in the preferences

![]() Apparently I am behind a firewall. Default option is "no proxies", other option is "use proxies", but then it asks me for http proxy or SOCKS proxy. Please pardon my ignorance, but I have no idea what they are talking about.

![]() What's the difference between the ports the list and the different servers? Do I need to try different combinations or what? At least now, with the ones I have in there, it's trying to connect me, it's just not getting anywhere.
