Everyone boycott Yahoo
I've had the same problem as all of you. Unfortunately I set my account up while I was in college and when web email was just getting started so I gave a ficitious bday because I didn't trust it. Now they can't do anything for me. I've been a faithful user for many years and my password gets hacked and they can do nuthing. They are stringent in their rules to verify a hacked account but when it comes to securing an account it looks as though it's very easy to hack. When I got to this page I was appalled at how many people have this same problem. Now I've lost everything in my email account. I refuse to sign up for a new account. I'm going to use my gmail account from now on. Everyone who has had this problem should use another mail and chat client. This is all crap. I'm never using anything connected to Yahoo again. I can't believe this. I dont even have access to my address book.

That really sucks. I had my main computer, with 7 years worth of email, QuickBooks data, and my documents (word, excel, etc) on it die in October. It had a raid setup with two mirrored hard drives. Needless to say, raid is only good if the corruption does not get written to both drives. Anyway, I was able to recover it two days ago with some NTFS recovery program I downloaded. It was awesome. Stick with it man, stay on Yahoo!. You will get your account back, just keep pushing.
